Desirée Pavey is a senior associate in our Complex Litigation and Dispute Resolution team with a background in commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring advice.
She advises on various litigation issues including general contractual disputes, regulatory investigations, misleading or deceptive conduct claims, shareholder disputes, property disputes, estate litigation and schemes of arrangement litigation and has acted for clients in a variety of Australian courts and tribunals.
Desirée also has experience in providing insolvency and restructuring advice and representation to insolvency professionals, companies and directors in relation to personal and corporate insolvency. She advises client on administrations, liquidations, receiverships and bankruptcies including routinely advising on voidable transaction claims under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and Personal Property and Securities Act 2009 (Cth) issues.
Desirée has acted for a broad range of clients including litigation funders, insolvency practitioners, high net worth individuals and corporate clients in the automotive, aviation, mining and petroleum, hospitality and aged care sectors among others.
Desirée additionally supervises the conduct of prosecution matters for the RSPCA as part of the Perth Office's Pro Bono Assistance Program. She is also Australian coordinator of research for projects of International Justice Mission liaising with local counsel in Cote d'Ivoire.
Desirée is Chair of the Women In the Profession Committee for K&L Gates' Perth office.
