Marius Toime

Marius Toime is a projects, energy and infrastructure professional. Based in Singapore, his experience in Asia spans over 15 years and includes major corporate and projects transactions, with a particular focus on the developing markets of Southeast Asia.

Marius represents multinationals, funds and other local and international clients on project development and negotiating, structuring and implementing multi-jurisdictional acquisitions and other transactions. He has advised on public-private partnerships and forms of complex financings, as well as debt restructurings and work-out transactions.

Marius’ sector experience includes the investment and financing of sustainable projects and assets such as renewables (including offshore wind, utility-scale solar PV, solar PV leasing, onshore wind, hydro and geothermal) and clean technology, mining, waste-to-energy, oil and gas and various forms of infrastructure such as toll roads, airports, rail, real estate, and hospitals.

Marius has in-field experience working in Indonesia as a foreign legal consultant across a broad range of sectors, including (among others) FinTech, peer to peer lending, data centers and real estate.

Prior to joining the firm, Marius practiced law in the energy, environment and infrastructure group of an international law firm in Singapore and Jakarta.

Marius sits on the Climate Change Focus Group of the British Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia and is a member of the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore. He was formerly a non-executive director of community charity, We Care Community Services Limited and chair of the Built Environment Committee of the British Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. Marius actively participates as a pro bono legal advisor for community law programmes.

Prior to joining the firm, Marius was a partner at an international law firm focusing his practice on energy, environment, and infrastructure. Marius has over 15 years‘ experience acting on a broad range of projects and other transactional matters in the Asia Pacific region. His recent experience includes advising on a range of structuring, project development, merger and acquisition, and financing mandates across the oil and gas, LNG, renewables, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
