K&L Gates Bolsters Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety Practice With New York Partner Addition
New York – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Maria Cáceres-Boneau as a partner in its Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. She joins the firm’s New York office from Duane Morris LLP.
Cáceres-Boneau has extensive experience counseling employers on laws governing the workplace, litigating employment disputes, providing employee and human resources trainings, investigating matters, drafting agreements and workplace policies, and advising on business acquisitions. She has represented companies across a broad array of industries, including technology, financial services, real estate, retail, fashion, and health care.
Cáceres-Boneau has successfully defended employers and managers against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations. Her experience has included nearly every stage of litigation from pre-suit demands through trial and appeal, as well as other means of dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
Rosemary Alito, a leader of the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice area, commented: “We are thrilled to have Maria join our global Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice, based in New York. Maria’s deep experience as a litigator and trusted advisor to clients across a broad range of industries, from startups to household names, is an exciting enhancement to our team.”
John Bicks, managing partner of K&L Gates’ New York office, stated: “We are delighted to welcome Maria to the firm and our New York office. We are confident that our platform is the ideal place for Maria to continue the impressive growth of her practice and we are pleased that she has chosen to join us.”
Cáceres-Boneau’s arrival follows the addition of Dallas partner Brent Hockaday to the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice earlier this year. Last year, K&L Gates deepened its financial services regulatory and enforcement capabilities with the addition of Jennifer Klass and Amy Greer in New York.
