K&L Gates Bolsters Intellectual Property Practice With Orange County Partner Addition
Orange County – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Fei Shen as a partner in its Intellectual Property practice. Shen joins the firm’s Orange County office from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP.
Shen focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the computer, software, and semiconductor industries. In particular, Shen has significant experience working in the areas of network technologies, semiconductor manufacturing, circuit design, enterprise systems, database systems, graphic processing, computer security, search technologies, big data, mobile applications, communication protocols, smart devices, social media, automated business infrastructure, green technologies, automobile, and consumer appliances. Throughout his legal career, he has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies.
Shen has experience in developing patent filing strategies, preparing and prosecuting US and international patent applications, providing opinions on patentability, invalidity or non-infringement with respect to intellectual property rights, conducting due diligence investigations, performing post-grant actions, providing litigation support, and other services.

Shen’s arrival follows the addition of Frankfurt partner Daniel Marschollek and his team, which includes counsel Manuel Merling and paralegals, and Charlotte partner Vincent Galluzzo to its IP practice in the past year.
