Fei Shen

Fei Shen is a partner in the firm’s IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice, mainly focusing on patent prosecution and counseling in the computer, software, telecommunications, consumer appliance, new energy, automobile, and semiconductor industries. He has extensive technical experience in areas such as network technologies, semiconductor manufacturing, circuit design, database systems, graphics processing, computer security, artificial intelligence, big data, mobile applications, battery technologies, automobile, consumer electronics and smart devices.

Fei advises clients on patent filing strategies, US and international patent prosecution, IP opinions on patentability and non-infringement, due diligence investigations, post-grant proceedings, and dispute resolution. He is known for developing tailored IP strategies that align with clients’ business goals while navigating complex technological and legal landscapes.

With extensive experience in cross-border legal matters, Fei regularly assists multi-international companies addressing their overseas legal needs. His deep understanding of legal systems in the US and China allows him to effectively bridge gaps and deliver practical solutions to global IP and business challenges.

Fei worked as a patent associate in the San Diego office of an international law firm where he secured patent protection for Fortune 100 companies as well as startups. He was also a member of the litigation team representing a major international telecommunication equipment manufacturer. Prior to practicing law, Fei worked as computer engineer for various software and robotics engineering
