K&L Gates Advises Zetland Capital Partners in Acquisition of Minority Stake of The Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort & Spa in Como

Global law firm K&L Gates has advised European private equity firm Zetland Capital Partners in its acquisition of a qualified stake in The Grand Hotel Imperiale Resort & Spa in Como, Italy, through a complex corporate structure.     

The resort, comprising 115 rooms on the shores of Lake Como, was acquired by a group of private and institutional investors, including Zetland Capital. After undergoing a full refurbishment, the property will reopen in 2027 as a luxury hotel under the Raffles banner.

The deal team was led by Milan Corporate partner Arturo Meglio, with support from senior associate Luca Nardello and associate Gaia Bacchi. Partner Vittorio Salvadori di Wiesenhoff provided tax advice and counsel Francesco Seri advised on the finance-related aspects of the deal.
