Alison Hamer is an associate in the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. She is an experienced employment law litigator who handles a wide range of cases, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, breach of contract and wage and hour. She represents employers and individual defendants in single-plaintiff and class, collective action, and representative Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) litigation in state and federal courts and arbitration. She also assists employers in responding to administrative charges.
Alison successfully advises management regarding employment law practices relating to hiring, performance management, disciplining and terminating employees, managing disability accommodations and medical leaves of absence, employment classifications, and wage and hour compliance. She also helps employers prevent legal issues by drafting employment handbooks, policies and agreements.
Additionally, Alison has experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations, including claims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower complaints, misconduct, and alleged policy violations.
