Amanda Erlandson is an associate in the Estate Planning and Trusts & Estates practice. Her practice focuses on working with clients to create or administer estate plans and trusts.
On the estate planning side, Amanda assists clients with structuring efficient estate plans to meet the clients' personal and family goals. As part of tailoring each estate plan to meet each client's unique circumstances, Amanda takes into account both tax and non-tax aspects of estate planning, including distinctive family circumstances, estate, gift, generation-skipping transfer and income tax planning, charitable gift planning, and incapacity planning. Where applicable, Amanda works in conjunction with the client’s other advisors to formulate holistic estate plans.
On the estate and trust administration side, a significant portion of Amanda's practice consists of counseling fiduciaries on trust and estate administration, including on the administration of charitable trusts. She assists both corporate and individual executors, trustees, and other fiduciaries in administration of family estate plans and provides the level of guidance and advice required by each fiduciary, from guidance through the process of the administration to advice regarding complex generation-skipping transfer tax issues. She also has experience representing fiduciaries in the resolution of disputes in the trust and estate context, from assisting with amicable resolutions between the fiduciary and beneficiaries, to litigation in Orphans' Court.
