Victoria volunteers with the New York Legal Assistance Group in their efforts to provide free civil legal services, financing counseling, and advocacy for people living in New York public housing who have experienced serious housing maintenance code issues. In addition, she has represented a pro bono asylum-seeking client through the intake, application, filing, and interview process, after she fled a physically and emotionally abusive marriage and was victim to female genital mutilation. After receiving a successful grant of asylum, Victoria further assisted her client with obtaining travel documents for herself and her son and filing asylee relative petitions for her two other children to join her in the US.
