Tucker A. Idol

Tucker Idol provides practice and business-minded M&A advice to buyers and sellers of infrastructure, utility and other specialty construction companies, architecture and engineering firms, and other related businesses. Tucker guides clients at all stages of their M&A process—his team identifies and addresses known risk areas before sellers go to market, works with buyers and sellers to negotiate LOIs and transaction documents, and provides post-closing support, all to keep clients focused on what matters most: their business.

Tucker and his team seamlessly connect clients with the firm's enormous reservoir of services, delivering a single point of contact for the tax, employment, benefits, real estate, environmental, regulatory, and other services necessary to get deals done on time and on budget, across the United States and abroad.

Tucker has successfully closed transactions in the utility and communication infrastructure space, including aerial and underground transmission, distribution, and communication service and equipment providers, as well as sales of key suppliers to specialty construction companies, including heavy transportation, rigging and millwright services, equipment and worker safety solutions, transformer manufacturing, utility-scale solar construction, vegetation management, and commercial general contracting services.

Clients value Tucker’s legal experience structuring acquisitions of regulated professional service firms, as well as his knowledge of the nuances of construction and long-lived project accounting and revenue variability in natural-disaster related services.

Tucker began his career as a corporate attorney in the Los Angeles office of an international law firm, focusing on cross-border asset finance and M&A transactions. Before joining the firm, he advised emerging growth and venture-backed companies at a full-service business law firm in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina.

Tucker successfully completed the Charted Financial Analyst Program Level I exam in 2024.
