Shannon K. Stauffer

Shannon Stauffer is a patent agent in the firm’s IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group. Shannon’s experience includes patent preparation and prosecution of patent portfolios for a variety of large and small enterprises and universities applicants. 

Shannon has leveraged her diverse technical background in computational material science to successfully prepare and prosecute patent applications across technical fields including artificial intelligence, machine learning and large language models, cyber security, electrochemical systems, biotechnology, and medical devices.

Prior to joining the firm, Shannon served as a patent agent for boutique IP firms, including the development and maintenance of a European IP firm’s US patent practice.

Prior to starting her patent practice, Shannon held various teaching and research scientist positions in university settings.
