Shane A. Hubbard

Shane Hubbard is a special counsel in the firm's Technology and Sourcing practice group. He has a depth of commercial contracts, technology, contracts, and commercial intellectual property experience, including delivering on high-value and complex, supplies of goods and services and outsourcing contracts for clients in financing services, healthcare, life sciences, energy, utilities, retail, aerospace and technology sectors.

Specifically, Shane’s experience consists of drafting, negotiating and advising on standalone contracts and framework agreements for supplies of goods and services, direct and indirect reseller agreements, introducer, referral and distribution arrangements, outsourcing, technology (including SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, fintech and artificial intelligence) for both on-premise and cloud-hosted solutions, multi-tier software licensing, collaboration and teaming arrangements, consulting, website terms, and commercial intellectual property and dealings with other proprietary rights.

Shane often works on contracts with challenging cross-border issues between the United States, United Kingdon and the European Union and has a background in advising tenderers involved in public sector procurements.

Shane also supports regulated clients in implementing contractual provisions to meet the requirements under cyber security regimes such as NIS, SOC, ISO, PCI DSS, DORA and artificial intelligence under the EU AI Act.

Shane has previously completed four client secondments to clients in financial services, utilities, central government and the emergency services, and regulary supports pro-bono initiatives on behalf of the firm.
