Ryan R. Elson

Ryan Elson is an associate and a member of the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group. He was previously a summer associate at the firm, where he learned the DISCO document review program to assist an ongoing patent lawsuit. Ryan has experience drafting cease and desist letters intended to protect trademark clients. In addition, he is familiar with authoring interrogatories, RFPs, and RFAs regarding copyright litigation. Before joining the firm, Ryan served as a legal intern for a crowdfunding platform in California and conducted state-by-state research to determine whether terms of service conflicted with current or upcoming state laws. He also assisted in reviewing contracts with clients related to Terms of Use, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Data Process Agreements, and Subscription Agreements.

Ryan was previously a research associate at a biotechnology company, where he produced CRISPR guide RNA oligos by creating impure oligo chains from phosphonamidites with a solid-state synthesizer and purifying the chains using Hamilton and Tecan liquid handlers. He also conducted quality control of RNA oligos and inspected purified oligonucleotides using electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.
