Rebecca Kim is an associate and a member of the Power practice, with a focus on renewable energy tax credits, including production and investment tax credits. Since joining the firm, Rebecca has drafted exhibits and agreements outlining the prevailing wage requirements and the different criteria surrounding bonus tax credits, such as the energy community tax credit bonuses, all under the framework of the Inflation Reduction Act. In addition to federal tax credit work, Rebecca has counseled renewable energy clients on state and local tax matters in tax equity transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Rebecca was a tax law clerk at an international law firm. Through this role, she researched complex tax issues and reviewed purchase agreements, investment term sheets, and equity commitment letters for tax issues in mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Rebecca drafted single-member limited liability company operating agreements and created structure decks and spreadsheet calculations showing the advantages and disadvantages of a partnership interest sale, corporate asset sale, and corporate stock sale.
