Myeong S. Park

Myeong Park is admitted to practice in Maryland. He is not currently admitted in the District of Columbia. He is supervised by a member of the D.C. Bar.

Myeong Park is an associate in the firm’s Antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation practice group, where he advises and represents clients on a broad range of international trade and national security matters.

Myeong’s practice focuses on customs law, export controls, trade remedies, sanctions compliance, and foreign investment. He regularly advises clients on compliance with US customs regulations, including tariff classification, country of origin marking, customs valuation, and preferential duty treatment eligibility. He also counsels clients on the applicability of Section 301 and Section 232 tariffs, assists with exclusion requests, and represents clients in customs enforcement matters such as audits, investigations, detentions, and penalty cases.

He has extensive experience with US export control and sanctions laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and economic sanctions programs administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the US Department of State. His work includes advising on licensing requirements, compliance program development, internal investigations, and enforcement matters.

Myeong also counsels US businesses and foreign investors in matters before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), including assessing whether filings are required or appropriate and preparing related submissions.

He regularly advises and represents Korean clients across a variety of sectors in investment and trade-related matters, drawing on his deep understanding of both US regulatory frameworks and the needs of foreign investors.

Prior to joining the firm, Myeong served as Trade Policy and Government Relations Manager at a Washington, DC-based international trade association representing more than 70,000 member companies. In that role, he advanced members’ legislative and regulatory interests before Congress, federal agencies, and state governments. He conducted in-depth research and analysis of trade data, prepared reports on complex policy issues, and led advocacy efforts in support of the Partner with Korea Act.
