Manuel Merling

Manuel Merling is counsel in the firm's IP Litigation practice. Manuel Merling advises companies in the sports, luxury goods and technology sectors on all aspects of intellectual property and unfair competition law. He focuses on representing clients in and out of court in trademark, design and copyright disputes as well as on the registration and enforcement of IP rights. He also advises clients on intellectual property licensing, IP filing strategies and IP-focused transactions.

Manuel is regularly recommended in the areas of trademark and design law as well as unfair competition in various professional journals such as WTR, The Legal 500, the JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law and Handelsblatt Best Lawyers.

He studied law at the University of Leipzig and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. He has been a lawyer for intellectual property law at the Frankfurt am Main Bar Association since 2015.

Prior to joining the firm, Manuel worked as counsel in the Frankfurt office of another global law firm, where he focused his practice in intellectual property and litigation.
