Prior to joining the firm, Lacey served as a contract lobbyist representing client interest areas in environment, education, agriculture, health care, and consumer protection. Before becoming a lobbyist, Lacey was the legislative assistant for the Deputy Majority Leader in the Washington State House of Representatives where she advised the member on legislative issues such as housing and homelessness, tax policy, natural resources, and education. In this role she also organized stakeholder meetings and directed correspondence with constituents.
Lacey also served as a caucus coordinator in the Michigan State Senate, where she worked with the Caucus Director to manage consultants for ten targeted races, wrote funder updates regarding finance and field progress, and briefed directors on polling developments.
