At the start of his career, Kan was a member of an international law firm, where he focused on representing private equity firms in mergers and acquisitions transactions and advising growth-stage startups in venture financings, restructurings, and matters of corporate governance. Prior to joining the firm, Kan was a member of a boutique corporate law firm, where he focused on representing early-stage startups in transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture financing, and international flips, in addition to serving as outside general counsel for contract review, negotiations, and employment matters.
