K&L Gates Represents Commercial Bancgroup, Inc. in Mergers With AB&T Financial Corporation

Global law firm K&L Gates LLP advised Commercial Bancgroup, Inc., the parent company of Commercial Bank, in its merger with AB&T Financial Corporation, the parent company of Alliance Bank & Trust Company. The firm also advised on the merger of Commercial Bank and Alliance Bank & Trust Company. The mergers create a community banking franchise with approximately US$2.2 billion in total consolidated assets.

With the completion of the mergers, Commercial Bank now operates 35 branch offices in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee.
