K&L Gates Celebrates International Women's Day 2025 With Speakers, Events Firmwide

Global law firm K&L Gates LLP is recognizing International Women’s Day 2025 throughout the month of March, including a fireside chat with FIFA’s Lynn Carrillo, Director of Commercial Legal; Vanessa Travieso, Head of Content & Media Legal; and Stephanie Roy, Senior Counsel for Content & Media Legal. The theme of the fireside chat is, “FIFA World Cup™: Lessons from the Field that Help Each of Us Score in Our Legal Careers.”

In addition to the fireside chat, offices across K&L Gates’ global platform will honor International Women’s Day with thoughtful client-facing, internal, and community engagement activities that support and accelerate women’s equality around the world.

Globally recognized, International Women’s Day honors the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. This year’s global theme, “Accelerate Action,” emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality.

K&L Gates continues to find ways to promote and grow opportunities for everyone at the firm because it is dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone is and feels respected, heard, valued, and supported. One of the pathways through which the firm dedicates its efforts is through the firmwide Women in the Profession (WIP) Committee, which is open to women lawyers and their allies. The WIP committee empowers lawyers to reach and surpass their personal and professional goals and provides tools for lawyers to advance their careers through business development, strengthen their leadership skills, and become role models. The committee also enhances the sense of community across the firm’s global platform. K&L Gates, during women’s history month and as it celebrates International Women’s Day, is intentionally taking action to accelerate the advancement of women facing a variety of experiences around the world.
