K&L Gates Bolsters Real Estate Practice with Sydney Partner Appointment
Sydney - Global law firm K&L Gates has strengthened its real estate team with the appointment of Sam Brown as a partner in its Sydney office. Brown joins K&L Gates from Watson Mangioni.
Brown’s extensive real estate experience includes advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of development land and built form assets; government tenders; major project and development agreements; fund through arrangements; property developments (commercial, mixed use, and residential); commercial, industrial, and retail leasing; land use and access rights; property due diligence; large-scale infrastructure transactions; and property funds. He also counsels receivers on the stabilization and sale of assets.
Brown said: “With a team of approximately 200 lawyers, K&L Gates has one of the largest and most diversified real estate practices of any global firm. I look forward to offering my clients the full resources of K&L Gates’ fully integrated global network.”
“Sam’s breadth of experience in Australia’s property industry will be of tremendous benefit to both domestic clients and foreign companies seeking investment opportunities in Australia,” stated Nick Nichola, K&L Gates’ Managing Partner, Australia. “We are very pleased to welcome Sam to the partnership.”
Sam’s appointment follows the additions earlier this year of Sydney partners Richard Gray (finance) and Matthew Cridland (corporate) and Charlotte real estate partner Emily Reynolds.
K&L Gates is a fully integrated global law firm with lawyers located across five continents.
