K&L Gates Advises Vivacity on Three-Site Land Lease Development

1 April 2025

Global law firm K&L Gates has acted for Vivacity, in partnership with its capital partner and co-investor RF Corval, on the conditional acquisition of three contiguous sites located in regional New South Wales for the proposed development of a new land lease community.

This acquisition marks another significant milestone in Vivacity and RF Corval's longstanding collaboration, spanning over six years of successful joint ventures and transactions and delivering impactful developments across Australia. Both parties remain committed to creating vibrant, secure communities that align with their shared vision for sustainable living options for Australia’s aging population.

The newly acquired sites further enhance Vivacity’s growing portfolio of innovative land lease communities, aimed at providing high-quality, affordable living solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of Australian seniors.

“We are excited about this acquisition and the opportunity to continue our partnership with RF Corval,” said Jonathan Mendez, Managing Director of Vivacity. “This new development highlights our ongoing commitment to expanding the land lease community sector, offering a compelling alternative to traditional homeownership. Sam and the team's detailed legal support made a big difference in bringing this project to fruition."

The Real Estate team that advised Vivacity was led by Sydney partner Samuel Brown with support from special counsel Karen Yuan and lawyers Christina Tohme and Olivia Cen.

"Vivacity's vision and ability to create meaningful, long-term developments is an important part of their growth strategy,” said Brown. “We are proud to continue supporting Vivacity to expand its land lease community offerings."

Lawyers in K&L Gates’ large, diversified Real Estate practice advise clients in a variety of real estate investment, land use, planning and zoning, development and construction, financing, leasing, tax, and litigation matters around the world.
