Ferry Lopez is a partner in the firm’s Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. She focuses her practice on defending employers in single plaintiff and class action employment lawsuits and provide clients with strategic and collaborative solutions to minimize litigation risks.
Ferry is an experienced litigator and has successfully represented employers against claims of wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment and discrimination claims based on sex, religion, pregnancy, gender, age, race, national origin and disability, breach of contract, defamation, and alleged Labor Code violations. She has also successfully litigated numerous class and collective actions on behalf of employers for alleged wage and hour violations under both state and federal law, including claims under the Private Attorneys’ General Act (PAGA), misclassification of employees as exempt or independent contractors, meal and rest break violations, "off the clock" and regular rate violations, denied reimbursements, improper wage deduction, and miscalculation of commissions and bonuses.
Ferry also provides advice, counseling, and training to management on every aspect of California employment law and traditional labor matters and has extensive expertise conducting workplace investigations and customized audits to ensure legal compliance. Her clients span across various industries, including hospitality, tech, health care, trucking, professional services, and fashion and retail.
