Represented a large brokerage firm in a multi-week jury trial involving claims of patent infringement brought by an independent software vendor; supported the trial team by briefing discovery and evidentiary motions and by preparing trial witnesses.
Represented a technology R&D company in assertion of patents relating to cable Internet/television against multiple cable providers; worked with experts on preparation of expert reports; drafted summary judgement and Daubert motions and claim construction briefing; briefed venue and jurisdictional motions; took depositions of defendants’ engineering employees; also represented the company in post-grant proceedings relating to the same patents.
Represented a multinational company against patent infringement claims related to inverters for use in photovoltaic systems; managed all aspects of case through claim construction; prepared petition for inter partes review of asserted patent.
Represented a large pharmaceutical company in various patent litigations and licensing negotiations against potential infringers; worked on cases involving preliminary injunction motions, expedited discovery, and venue disputes; worked with experts to prepare briefing and declarations in support of preliminary injunction, drafted discovery papers, and advised on proposed license agreements; also represented the same pharmaceutical company in litigation to enforce an earlier patent license agreement.
Represented a large wireless network operator against patent infringement claims relating to 4G and 5G network infrastructure; worked with a technical expert to develop invalidity and non-infringement contentions and claim construction arguments.
Represented a small medical device company against patent infringement claims brought by a multinational pharmaceutical company; managed discovery, researched and briefed various motions, and worked with experts to prepare claim construction briefing and declarations; also represented the same medical device company in breach-of-contract litigation against a former licensee.
Represented a life sciences company in trade secret misappropriation litigation against former employee.
Represented a technology R&D company in licensing and assertion of patents relating to AVC and HEVC video standards.
