Previously, Emily joined the firm as a summer associate in 2021 and 2020, and served as an LCLD Scholar for the Portland office in 2020. In law school, Emily served as a student attorney for the Michigan Community Enterprise Clinic and the Michigan Entrepreneurship Clinic. In these roles, Emily gained experience in counseling limited liability companies and non-profit corporations through a myriad of corporate decisions in various business phases, including entity structure, membership transfers, funding opportunities, and trademark applications. She also assisted clients by drafting internal company agreements, property rental agreements, sales contracts, privacy agreements, and more. Additionally, Emily served as a student attorney in the Michigan Workers’ Rights Clinic, whereby she represented an individual in litigating an unemployment insurance action. Through these diverse experiences, Emily has learned to take client-centered and creative approaches to all client matters.
