Prior to joining the firm, David worked as a patent agent at a mid-sized law firm, where he developed skills in all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution. Prior to becoming a patent agent, David served as the director of medicinal chemistry at a global pharmaceutical company specializing in novel medicines and medical devices. In his chemistry role, David gained expertise in conceiving, designing, synthesizing, evaluating, and optimizing novel chemical entities for applications in a variety of therapeutic areas. Prior to his industrial career, David was a postdoctoral research associate at Massachusetts Institute for Technology (MIT), where he discovered and developed highly active palladium catalyst systems for aryl halide amination and other cross-coupling reactions.
