David A. Wills

David Wills is an associate and a member of the Commercial Disputes practice and the Labor, Employment, and Workplace Safety practice. David has acted as lead associate in every federal district court in Texas and Delaware, and the Fifth Circuit, often in multimillion-dollar fraudulent transfer actions. David has also been the lead associate on cases in state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings for a wide range of business disputes. David has presented oral arguments over a dozen times and obtained numerous favorable rulings for his clients. He has drafted countless pleadings and is experienced at deposing witnesses, handling discovery, and negotiating business divorces and settlements.

Prior to joining the firm, David was an associate at a Dallas-based law firm where he focused his practice on commercial litigation and employment law. Prior to entering private practice, David served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Jane Boyle in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. At Harvard Law School, David led a team of students from a legal clinic in an appeal to the Third Circuit and drafted parts of the appellate brief which prevailed.

  • David delivered a presentation in towards the end of 2024 to a group of business leaders for small businesses regarding legal considerations for their business entering 2025.
  • David was a speaker on a panel of business and finance leaders for the Plano Software Entrepreneurs Meetup, discussing key considerations for early-stage software entrepreneurs in growing their business.
  • David has also spoken to groups in the Dallas Jewish Community on topics of Jewish law and practice and gave a presentation on the topic of the Bible and the US Constitution.
