Dale M. Araki

Dale Araki is a partner and a member of the Corporate practice area and the Mergers and Acquisitions practice group. He represents Japanese, United States, and other overseas companies in a variety of cross border business transactions. His experience features the representation of buyers and sellers across the globe in mergers, corporate and real-estate related acquisitions and investments, manufacturing and technology joint ventures, and bankruptcy and restructuring transactions.

Dale also has substantial experience with corporate transactions involving intellectual property, having represented clients in connection with rights acquisitions, joint development projects, complex licensing arrangements and other deals involving software, trademarks, and motion picture, television and other valuable intellectual property. His clients operate across a broad spectrum of industries in which managing and protecting intellectual property rights are critical. Such clients include prominent companies in the technology, medical products, film, television, publishing, fashion and software consulting industries, among others.

Dale has consistently been cited as a leading foreign Corporate/M&A lawyer in Japan by Chambers Global, Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500 Asia Pacific, and IFLR1000.

Prior to joining the firm, his experience included acting as the managing partner of the Tokyo Office of another major international law firm.
