Colin M. Phelan

Colin Phelan is a patent agent in the firm’s IP Procurement and Portfolio Management practice. His experience includes filing patent applications—including specification, claims, and figures—with the US Patent and Trademark Office; drafting responses to office actions, client reporting letters, and preliminary amendments; performing patent searches; and constructing patentability reports.

Prior to joining the firm, Colin served as a patent engineer as a part of the Boulder office of a full-service intellectual property firm. He also served as a research assistant in the Nanomechanics and Tribology Laboratory at the University of Arkansas.
