Christopher Lokken is a partner and a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice group. His practice focuses on the formation and operation of private investment funds and investment management firms, and counseling investment advisers on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters.
Chris has close to 25 years of experience advising clients on the structuring, formation, marketing and operation of private investment funds, feeder fund and managed account programs, and other alternative investment vehicles for investment advisers ranging from start-ups to global financial institutions. Chris also regularly assists alternative asset managers in structuring their investment advisory firms, SEC and CFTC registration, employee profit participation programs, and provides ongoing advice on a broad range of corporate, securities, derivatives, and regulatory matters. Chris also maintains a significant practice representing both fund managers and institutional financial firms in negotiating placement agency agreements.
