He graduated summa cum laude from Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan in 1994 and was admitted as a Dottore Commercialista (chartered accountant admitted to practice in tax courts) in 1995. Of Italian mother tongue, he speaks fluent English and French.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Salvadori di Wiesenhoff was a tax partner in the Milan office of another international law firm. He focused his practice on all tax aspects connected to corporate, banking and finance, and real estate transactions.

  • An Italian fund management company (SGR) on the establishment of a closed-end real estate fund with a Pan-European investment focus which will be marketed to Italian and European institutional investors
  • A German banking group in relation to the restructuring of the Italian operations of two banking subsidiaries of the group, in the context of an international restructuring process involving transfer of various assets to a newly established third party bad bank governed by German laws.
  • The Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME) in relation to the Italian Financial Transaction Tax. Designing and drafting the “Italian FTT Equity Protocol” and the “Italian FTT Derivative Protocol”, which have become the market standard agreements for tax allocation and liability sharing in relation to the FTT. Supporting and advising AFME in connection with its discussions with the Italian Minister of Economy and Finance regarding the application of the FTT
