Ms. Aron is a real estate lawyer who advises on major property projects, commercial leasing, government and public sector tendering and joint venture arrangements. She is also experienced in development projects and acquisitions and disposals. Ms. Aron advises both major government and private sector clients.

Professional Background

Before starting at K&L Gates, Ms. Aron has previously worked in the real estate groups at a global law firm and other Australian national firms.

  • Advising Orica Limited on the property aspects of the AUD750 million sale of its chemicals business to funds advised by Blackstone. This matter involved complex property separation arrangements, including subdivision of freehold land and the leasing, subleasing and licensing of leased land across Australia and New Zealand. 
  • Acting for Woollahra Municipal Council on its private public partnership with Woolworths Limited for the staged development of the mixed use Kiaora Place centre, Double Bay, including the long-term lease back to Woolworths Limited and the retail and commercial leasing of the remainder of the centre.
  • Acting for Nine Entertainment Co. on the property aspects of the separation and sale of Australian Consolidation Press to Bauer Media, involving complex property separation arrangements in leased buildings in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
  • Acting for Samsung on the negotiation of a development agreement and long-term lease with GPT for Samsung’s new corporate headquarters in Sydney Olympic Park, the fit-out of the new corporate headquarters and the variation of its existing leases at Sydney Olympic Park.
  • Acting for CIMIC (formerly Leighton) on the sale of 472 and 486 Pacific Highway, St Leonards, New South Wales to Mirvac Limited.
  • Advising Bauer Media on the leasing of its Sydney corporate headquarters.
  • Advising NSW Maritime on development agreements and long-term leases of Blackwattle Bay, the superyacht marina at Rozelle Bay and the Rose Bay and Point Piper marinas. 
  • Acting for Perpetual Services on the property aspects of the sale of its mortgage and loan servicing business and the purchaser of the Trust company, as well as on its Australian leasing portfolio. 
  • Acting for Telstra Corporation on the property aspects of the sale of Telstra Clear to Vodafone New Zealand. 
  • Advising Barangaroo Delivery Authority on its conduct of a tender and negotiation of development agreements for the 22 ha Barangaroo site on the Sydney Harbour foreshore. 
  • Negotiating project delivery documents on behalf of the Department of Planning for the Rouse Hill village with a Lend Lease/GPT consortium. 
  • Advising Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority on its negotiations with Lend Lease for the redevelopment of the 1.5 ha Darling Walk site.
  • Acting for Redfern-Waterloo Authority on its substantial renegotiation of project delivery documents for the development of the Channel 7 studios at Australian Technology Park. 
  • Acting for Sydney Olympic Park Authority on its negotiations of agreements for lease and 99 year leases for various sites within Sydney Olympic Park. 
  • Acting for Stockland on its AUD864million purchase of the Lensworth property portfolio from Fosters.
