Rohan Purdy

Mr. Purdy is a senior corporate lawyer with significant experience in a broad range of complex corporate and transactional matters.

Mr. Purdy has specific expertise acting for ASX listed entities, advising on capital raisings and other ASX corporate actions including buy-backs and capital restructures, and advising on ASX Listing Rule matters.

He brings a commercial and pragmatic approach having worked as General Counsel and in senior in-house legal counsel roles for listed companies for 11 years, including Babcock & Brown and ASX Ltd.

Mr. Purdy is also qualified as a Chartered Secretary and has significant experience advising Boards, Directors and Senior Executives on corporate governance issues. He previously managed the company secretarial function of an ASX-listed group for 8 years in the role of General Counsel & Company Secretary.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Purdy obtained unique experience from acting in a number of senior in-house roles, including General Counsel & Company Secretary of an ASX-listed group, Senior Legal Counsel at Babcock & Brown and Senior Legal Counsel at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX). Mr. Purdy also has experience working as a Senior Associate in leading national and international law firms.

  • Providing advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, including shareholder arrangements and restructures, joint ventures and asset management arrangements.
  • Advising on company secretarial and corporate governance obligations, particularly with respect to ASX-listed entities.
