Shawn Hogue focuses his practice on commercial disputes and has worked on a multidistrict litigation (MDL) involving complex commercial/construction matters, and he also advises a variety of industries on corporate compliance.
Additionally, in 2015, he organized a law review symposium co-sponsored by K&L Gates entitled “The Future of Food Safety”. The symposium focused on the ramifications the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has had on all sectors of the food industry.
Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr. Hogue served as a lawyer at a national law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he worked on sophisticated commercial matters including the complex international Ponzi schemes of Bernard Madoff.
While in law school he served as an intern in the United States Attorney’s Office in Miami, and also at the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in the Chambers of Judge Juan Torruella. Mr. Hogue was also a recipient of the Cuttino Fellowship for admission at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom where he studied Diplomatic History.
