Mr. Ambrose practices estates and trusts law, with particular emphasis on planning tax-advantaged property dispositions for U.S. citizens and non-resident aliens, and implementing such plans through drafting wills, personal trust agreements, insurance trusts, generation-skipping transfer tax exempt trusts, personal residence trusts, charitable remainder trusts and charitable lead trusts. He has handled estate and gift tax valuation issues before the Internal Revenue Service and in the United States Tax Court; and has experience with the administration of estates and trusts, post-mortem tax planning, and partnership, corporate, and pension work related to estate planning matters.

He has litigation experience in various New York Surrogate’s Courts, the New York Supreme Court and appellate courts, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Courts, the United States Maritime Subsidy Board and the Federal Maritime Commission.
