  • Advised an investment company in relation to a term loan facility to a Cayman entity, guaranteed by a healthcare provider incorporated in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Advised an investment management firm in relation to a USD22.8mn term loan facility.
  • Advised an Abu Dhabi bank in relation to a USD100mn unsecured term loan facility.
  • Advised the UAE subsidiary of an international cement company in relation to the restructuring of its project financing in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Advised the joint coordinators and the mandated lead arrangers on the USD700mn revolving facility to a Kuwaiti based telecommunications provider.
  • Advised the lenders in relation to Atradius, EKF and SERV-backed loans to a CEE-based agro-industrial company.
  • Advised the ECA’s and commercial lenders in relation to a refinery project in Turkey.
  • Advised Citi, in relation to a range of loan facilities to a Turkish corporate, backed by Finnvera and Hermes.

Islamic Financing

  • Advised the sponsors in relation to the SAR600mn Islamic financing structure in relation to the acquisition of a major Saudi-based fast-food chain.
  • Advised the lenders in relation to a SAR7.2bn Murabaha refinancing of the existing portfolio of 26 aircraft of Saudi Airlines Corporation (Saudia).
  • Advised a Bahraini-based oil and gas company in relation to a dual tranche USD200mn commodity murabaha refinancing facility.
  • Advised Dubai Aviation Corporation (trading as flydubai) on various Islamic and conventional financings.
  • Advised the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) in relation to a USD848mn murabaha facility to acquire Vela International Marine Limited (Vela), a wholly owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco.
  • Advised Thomson Reuters in relation to the review of its standard form suite of Islamic finance documentation.
