Mr. Lee is a corporate and commercial lawyer with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets. He has experience in a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions and advisory matters, including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, asset sales, capital raisings, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and general commercial work.

Professional Background

Mr. Lee joined K&L Gates as a graduate in 2015 and has also completed rotations in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Energy, Infrastructure and Resources, and the Labor, Employment and Workplace Safety teams.

  • Assisting formerly ASX listed client iiNet Limited on its AUD1.57 billion merger by scheme of arrangement with TPG Telecom Limited. 
  • Assisting Moon Lake Investments Pty Ltd on the AUD280 million acquisition of the dairy farm assets of Van Diemen's Land Company, the largest dairy farm in Australia. 
  • Assisting major agribusiness company with acquisitions of strategically located rural businesses across Australia. 
  • Assisting Azure Minerals Limited on a AUD15 million placement to U.S. and other international investors and a AUD6 million share purchase plan. 
  • Assisting Palace Resources Limited (now TikForce Limited) on its acquisition of cloud-based digital identification company, TikForce, AUD4.5 million capital raising and readmission to the official list of the ASX as a technology company.
  • Assisting Avem Pty Ltd on the acquisition of refrigeration supplier Quirks Australia Pty Ltd from Coca-Cola Amatil Limited. 
  • Conducting due diligence for Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited on its AUD17 million acquisition of Datatel Communications Pty Ltd. 
  • Assisting an ASX listed mineral exploration company on the divestment of its zinc assets. 
  • Assisting an ASX listed technology company on the departure of its managing director. 
  • Assisting clients with various mergers and acquisitions by conducting due diligence, drafting transaction documents and coordinating completion arrangements. 
  • Advising clients in respect of Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and ASX Listing Rules matters, including directors' duties, company formations and structuring, capital raising, financial reporting, shareholder rights and general compliance. 
  • Assisting clients with admission to the official list of the ASX by IPO and backdoor listing.
