Nathan Miller is an associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office and is a member of the Private Clients, Trusts and Estates practice group. He focuses his practice on estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration and probate, trust and fiduciary litigation in Orphans’ Court.

Estate and Tax Planning

Mr. Miller provides estate and tax planning for families with complex and valuable assets. He has drafted a variety of estate planning documents, including grantor retained annuity trusts, irrevocable life insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, revocable trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, marital and credit shelter trusts, and disclaimer wills.

Estate and Trust Administration

Mr. Miller has assisted in all phases of the administration of complex estates and trusts. In addition, he regularly advises individual and corporate fiduciaries by providing strategic and creative advice.

Probate, Trust and Fiduciary Litigation

Mr. Miller has represented clients in Orphans’ Court on a variety of matters, including removal and appointment of trustees, termination of trusts, unitrust conversions and adjudication of accounts at audit.

Mr. Miller also maintains an active pro bono practice, drafting estate planning documents for first responders, firefighters and police officers as part of the Wills for Heroes and W.I.L.L.S. programs, representing clients in estate administrations and helping obtain protection orders for victims of domestic violence.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Miller was a summer associate for the firm in 2013. In addition, he was a legal intern for a Pennsylvania corporation.
