  • Advised a Qatari Holding Company on the acquisition of a 49% economic interest in a Spanish based construction company group specialized in high rise buildings and the acquisition of a 51% shareholding in its subsidiary in Qatar.
  • Advised a French engineering company on its contemplated acquisition of a number of subsidiaries in Qatar as part of a multijurisdiction acquisition of a Kuwait based engineering group of companies.
  • Advised a German non-destructive testing group on the proposed acquisition of shareholdings in Oman and Qatar based subsidiaries of an India based group of companies as part of a multijurisdiction acquisition.

  • Advised a German based shopping centre project management company on its proposed joint venture with another Qatar based shopping centre project management company in Qatar.

Restructurings

  • Advised a Kuwaiti Investment Company on the Qatari law aspects relating to the transfer of its real property assets in Qatar as part of its debt to asset swap arrangements with its creditors.
  • Advised an India based healthcare hospitals group on conducting a due diligence exercise of its Qatar subsidiary and the proposed restructuring of its Qatar subsidiary as part of a multijurisdiction restructuring in preparation for its contemplated IPO in India.
  • Advised a Turkey based manufacturing business on the proposed restructuring of its Qatar subsidiary as part of a multijurisdiction restructuring of its subsidiaries.

Projects/Construction

  • Advised and drafted a number of reports to the economic zones project company containing an analysis on the required steps and actions to implement the proposed economic zones regime in Qatar.
  • Advised Qatar Central Bank on its proposed overhaul of the securities depository framework in Qatar.
