Her insurance coverage practice spans a wide range of subject matters such as products liability, professional indemnity, environmental, asbestos, and directors’ and officers’ insurance. Her practice includes state and federal court litigation, international arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Korgul manages warranty, general commercial, and general liability claims for numerous clients. She represents public and private companies in a wide range of business disputes, with an emphasis on breach-of-contract claims and business torts such as fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, unfair competition, and related statutory actions. Ms. Korgul has significant first- and second-chair experience in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit to appeals. She has counseled clients involved in disputes pending before arbitral tribunals and federal and state courts throughout the country.
As an avid horse enthusiast, Ms. Korgul understands the wide range of issues that confront the participants in the equine industry. She has unique experience in all areas of equine law, including but not limited to: drafting contracts and Bills of Sale; boarding, sales and lease disputes; mortality issue disputes; formation of partnerships, corporations, LLCs and LLPs; property liability; horse insurance disputes; representation in disciplinary matters involving the USEF; and trainer/breeder liability.
In addition to her paying work, Ms. Korgul maintains an active pro bono practice involving representing parents who petition for the return of their children under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
