Manteo Eisenlohr represents and advises companies in a wide range of sectors, including technology (mainly Internet-based enterprises) and renewable energy. He advises comprehensively on labor and employment law, as well as on the related fields of social law, employee invention law, and competition law.
Dr. Eisenlohr has broad experience in the areas of German and European individual and collective employment law. He primarily advises multinational companies on matters of German labor and employment law arising from different types of commercial transactions, as well as on their entrepreneurial activities in Germany. His practice includes establishing strategies and concepts for negotiating business restructurings and mass layoff projects, and negotiating with employee representatives.
Dr. Eisenlohr also supports companies in establishing and amending business pension schemes and is experienced in outsourcing business pension claims (contractual trust arrangements). In addition, he counsels on compliance requirements (e.g., codes of conduct and employee data protection requirements) and on the challenges arising from social media.
Dr. Eisenlohr has been working as a lawyer in Berlin for more than 15 years. He started his career as a human resources representative at a public entity in Berlin after his studies in Heidelberg and Freiburg. He was admitted as a lawyer in 1999 and was a partner at a renowned international law firm from 2003 before joining K&L Gates in March 2016. In 2006, he qualified as a Specialist Lawyer for Labor and Employment Law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht). He is a member of the European Employment Lawyers’ Association (EELA) and bilingual in German and English.
