Linda Zhou focuses her practice on the representation of start-up, emerging growth and public companies, with a special emphasis on corporate and securities law, private and public financings, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate partnering transactions. Her practice also encompasses forming and representing U.S. and China venture capital and private equity funds.
Ms. Zhou represents a wide variety of technology companies -- ranging from consumer internet, software, and telecommunications to life sciences industries -- as well as a number of leading venture capital firms. She also has rich experience representing U.S. clients in China-related matters. More recently, she has developed a robust practice guiding Chinese clients in their investments, acquisitions and operations in the U.S. She has served as counsel to many China-based, venture-backed companies and as investor counsel to leading venture capital firms investing in China, to whom she offers legal advice in cross-border fund or company structures, tax optimization, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and intellectual property rights.
She has been qualified to practice law in China since 2000 and has extensive experience with cross-border China-related transactions. She has actively reduced and removed legal barriers for Chinese high-tech companies and investment funds entering the global market. She frequently lectures or participates as a speaker in a number of large Chinese high-tech conferences on corporate transaction topics, as well as offers counsel to non-profit organizations.
