Lauren Flynn is a government affairs analyst in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, where she is a member of the public policy and law practice group. Her practice focuses on employee benefits, corporate social responsibility, retirement, tax, and financial services issues. Lauren works with a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, tax-exempt entities, and member associations, to develop and implement policy strategies to address a multitude of federal legislative and regulatory issues, including coordinating complex outreach campaigns and drafting comment letters and correspondence to government agencies. Additionally, Lauren works to ensure seamless support for clients by leading monitoring and analysis for a number of client teams, providing near round-the-clock coverage with in-depth yet digestible analysis on a range of policy developments. Lauren also manages a variety of stakeholder coalitions.
Prior to joining the firm, Lauren worked for a senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives as a legislative assistant and legislative correspondent. During this time, she advised the congressman on a number of issue areas, including defense, veterans affairs, homeland security, education, foreign policy, arts and humanities, housing, postal, and transportation. Additionally, she worked on a variety of appropriations and authorization related issues.
Lauren earned her Master of Public Policy degree with an emphasis in national security and public policy from George Mason University, and was inducted into Pi Alpha Alpha, the Global Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame.
