Laura Scully is an associate in the Newark office and focuses her practice on labor and employment law on behalf of management. Ms. Scully represents employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies, including in matters involving discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, wage and hour disputes, civil rights, employment contracts, and labor relations. In addition, she drafts employment-related agreements, policies, and forms, and counsels clients on a variety of workplace-related issues.

Ms. Scully was recognized as a New Jersey Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in 2016.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Scully was an associate at New York law firms, where she represented management in labor and employment matters before federal and state courts as well as administrative agencies, and counseled on a wide range of employment issues, including hiring, discipline, leave, reasonable accommodations, background checks, payment of wages, and worker classifications. Before entering private practice, Ms. Scully clerked for the Honorable Claude M. Coleman in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Law Division.
