Mr. Carpenter focuses his practice on commercial lending, corporate finance and private equity and mezzanine financing. He regularly represents both lenders and public and private borrowers in connection with the negotiation of secured and unsecured syndicated credit facilities, asset-based loans and acquisition financings. He has experience with financings in a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, motorsports, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, media and telecommunications, transportation and technology. His clients include public and privately held corporations, private equity and mezzanine investment funds, institutional investors and leading national banks. In addition, Mr. Carpenter represents clients in a variety of complex business transactions, including leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, equity investments, financial restructuring and other corporate matters.

During law school, Mr. Carpenter was a Summer Associate at Kennedy, Covington, Lobdell & Hickman LLP (a predecessor firm of K&L Gates).
