Joshua Skora is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office, where he is a member of the health care practice group. His practice focuses on representation of medical device manufacturers, durable medical equipment suppliers, home infusion therapy providers, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic testing facilities, home health agencies, and other health care providers. He counsels clients on complex corporate and regulatory issues, including fraud and abuse, regulatory due diligence for transactions, compliance, reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid enrollment, overpayment audits and appeals, and investigations by federal and state governmental agencies.

Josh also advises clients on health care litigation matters. His health care litigation experience includes matters involving the Department of Justice, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and Administrative Law Judges/Departmental Appeals Board. He defends clients against federal and state False Claims Act qui tam lawsuits.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Skora was a health care lawyer at a law firm in Amarillo, Texas. In addition, he formerly served as general counsel for a Minneapolis based medical device manufacturer.
