Devin Wagner is an associate in the firm’s Houston office, where he concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, energy contract disputes, environmental litigation, and toxic tort defense. Mr. Wagner represents national and multinational companies engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas and the processing of petroleum products. His clients include some of the world’s largest energy producers and global engineering firms servicing the on-shore and off-shore oil and gas industry. Mr. Wagner has a wide variety of representation experience in state and federal courts, as well as before domestic and international arbitration tribunals.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wagner was an associate at a Dallas-based Texas law firm where he concentrated his practice on general commercial litigation and the resolution of labor and employment and consumer protection disputes. While in law school, Mr. Wagner served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David Hittner, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

  • Managed the consumer litigation and arbitration docket of a leading electronics and appliances retail company with more than 90 locations nationwide
  • Represented oil and gas production company in a collective action brought under the minimum wage and overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act
  • Handled numerous hearings in state and federal district court on a variety of issues, including discovery disputes, procedural matters, and jurisdictional issues
  • Secured dismissal of personal injury claims asserted against an international marine construction company for forum non conveniens
  • Represented NASA engineers in proceedings administered by the Department of Justice and the Office of the Inspector General involving allegations of breach of trust and other ethical violations
