Devin Wagner is an associate in the firm’s Houston office, where he concentrates his practice on complex commercial litigation, energy contract disputes, environmental litigation, and toxic tort defense. Mr. Wagner represents national and multinational companies engaged in the exploration and production of oil and gas and the processing of petroleum products. His clients include some of the world’s largest energy producers and global engineering firms servicing the on-shore and off-shore oil and gas industry. Mr. Wagner has a wide variety of representation experience in state and federal courts, as well as before domestic and international arbitration tribunals.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wagner was an associate at a Dallas-based Texas law firm where he concentrated his practice on general commercial litigation and the resolution of labor and employment and consumer protection disputes. While in law school, Mr. Wagner served as a judicial intern for the Honorable David Hittner, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

  • Co-authored Daubert and summary judgment motions, resulting in the exclusion of the plaintiff’s medical, causation and exposure expert witnesses in federal action against refinery operated by global energy company
  • Authored successful motion to dismiss under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 12(b)(6) addressing the plaintiff’s failure to plead toxic exposure claims against multinational refinery with sufficient factual specificity
