Jakub Pitera is a senior associate in the Warsaw office of K&L Gates. He practices in areas related to corporate issues, mergers and acquisitions (including financial institutions) and capital markets (preparing IPOs, trade in financial instruments and investment funds). He has significant experience in corporate restructuring of the largest Polish and international holdings. His professional experience also includes representing clients in administrative proceedings before the Polish Competition Authority as well as Financial Supervision Authority, including proceedings related to mergers and acquisitions.

  • Advising Arctic Paper SA in connection with the acquisition of Rottneros AB as well as admission and introduction into trade of the shares on the NASDAQ/OMX (Stockholm).
  • Advising a consortium of investment banks in respect of the IPO of Polski Holding Nieruchomości SA.
  • Advising on the seller in the IPO of ZE PAK.
  • Advising a consortium of investment banks in respect of the sale in the form of accelerated book-building of the PZU SA’s shares with a value of USD 1.2 billion in 2011.

  • Advising Nordea Bank AB in connection with the sale of shares in Nordea TUnŻ SA.
  • Advising Nordea Bank AB in connection with the sale of shares in Nordea Finance Polska SA.

  • Advising a buyer of one of the largest transfer agents in Poland.
  • Advising an international financial institution in connection with the acquisition of the shares of SPVs being the owners of office buildings.
  • Advising an international financial institution from the insurance sector in connection with the purchase of a Polish insurance company.
