Dr. Anderson is a registered patent attorney in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. As a member of the Intellectual Property Procurement and Portfolio Management practice group, she is focused on providing intellectual property counseling aligned with specific business objectives of the client.

Jaimie has experience working with clients in leveraging intellectual property for competitive advantage, building commercially relevant patent portfolios, and navigating prior art and third party-intellectual property rights. Jaimie’s practice includes worldwide patent and trademark portfolio development, intellectual property due diligence, patent infringement and validity analyses, patentability and product clearance studies, licensing and related transactional matters. Jaimie has served as Project Manager for varied business advisory teams designed to bring scientific research with commercial potential into the marketplace. She has also drafted marketing and commercial development plans, patent applications, patentability analyses, and license agreements, as well as prepared strategic business planning for product launch.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Anderson worked as an attorney in Intellectual Property law at law firms in Utah and Arizona. Jaimie has also worked in Georgia at the Coca Cola Company and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention providing intellectual property procurement, analyses, and IP portfolio management. She has also served as Director of Medical Research of a team of research scientists and physicians at the Lowance Center for Human Immunology at the Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia searching to develop a therapeutic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis.

Dr. Anderson received her B.S. in Chemistry, Highest Honors, at Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was awarded the Undergraduate Research Award of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry. Jaimie continued her graduate education at Emory University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences receiving a Ph.D. in Chemistry where she received both research and teaching fellowships. Jaimie earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law receiving the American Bar Association/BNA Award in Intellectual Property Law.
