Prior to joining K&L Gates, Mr Malik was an assistant solicitor for a leading niche litigation practice based in the city of London. He focused his practice on public law and international public law, defamation and general commercial litigation cases, where he acted in a number of applications to the European Court of Justice and the United Nations challenging international sanctions such as travel bans and asset-freezes placed on high net-worth individuals and corporate entities.
Since joining K&L Gates, Mr Malik has worked on a number of significant cases. He has acted for large corporations in a wide array of commercial disputes cases including outsourcing contract disputes, product liability claims and injunction applications. He has also gained significant experience in advising on sanctions compliance and carrying out internal investigations on behalf of major multinational corporations.
